If you like blowing things up, then this is the scenario for you! The Grid has 9 antennas on the board that you must first designate, then destroy at the end of the game.
As mentioned, the primary objective of The Grid is to blow more ANTENNAS than your opponent. It's not that simple though, as these ANTENNAS must first be DESIGNATED before they can be DESTROYED.
To DESIGNATE an antenna, you must get a Specialist into base contact with it, then spend a short skill and pass a WIP roll. Alternatively a troop can Forward Observe the antenna, which is obviously the far easier method.
Once an antenna has been DESIGNATED, it can then be targeted by attacks, as per the Scenery Structure rules, meaning it must be done with a weapon possessing the Anti-Materiel trait, found most common on DA or EXP weapons, as well as K1, T2. If you don't possess any weapons with this trait, you're not going to be happy. They are fairly tough with ARM4 BTS3 STR2, so keep it in mind that it may take a couple orders to destroy. Additionally, you are restricted from attacking the ANTENNAS on the first game turn, so use that time to slow down the enemy and to DESIGNATE as many as you can.
To make things complicated however, the 20" strip down the middle of the board is a Saturation Zone, meaning anyone shooting (or Forward Observing), the ANTENNAS is going to be doing so at -1 Burst. Not to mention this obviously makes shooting at the enemy a bit more challenging. Keep that Saturation Zone in mind when making your lists and consider a few B1 weapons like Missile Launchers, as well as anti-materiel close combat weapons, which are all unaffected.
Finally, if blowing up ANTENNAS wasn't enough fun, you also get to assassinate you enemies Designated Target! This is very similar to an HVT (which isn't used this scenario), except it is hostile and fights back. It is worth 2 points to kill, but double that if you kill it with your own DataTracker, so pick something brutal, like a Su Jian to hunt down and mercilessly assassinate the target.
