In a race to capture territory, Frontline is a scenario that rewards rapid movement, and punishing firepower. Your primary mission is to push your forces across the table and dominate the three central bands across the table.
Deployment is fairly standard, each player deploys within the 12" band along their table side. There are no deployment restrictions, so feel free to infiltrate to your hearts content. Your primary objective is to DOMINATE the three 8" bands that run the length of the table, with the band furthest from your deployment being worth the most, and the band closest being worth the least.
To score points, at the end of the game, you will be awarded 4 points for dominating the furthest zone, 3 point for dominating the central zone, and 1 point for dominating the nearest zone. The central zone is worth an extra point if your DataTracker is there, and you've dominated it. There is a single Classified objective for 1 point, but you can also use it for INTELCOM, allowing you to add it's points to a zone you are trying to control. Since it is rare that this game will end in a situation where that 1 point is necessary, I would almost always opt for INTELCOM.
Ultimately, to win the game, you want to control the central zone, and the zone closest to your deployment zone, that will give you 4 points, with a maximum of 2 points available to the opponent. Remember that units inside either deployment zone are not contributing in any way to scoring, so make sure to move your units up the table. Don't get preoccupied with dominating the zones though on turns 1 and 2, scoring doesn't happen until the end of the game, instead your early game strategy should be to advance out of your deployment zone, but also to kill as many enemy units as possible.
Since there are no deployment restrictions, and you get more points the further up the board you are, then making good use of Airborne Deployment, Forward Deployment, and Infiltration will give you a leg up, starting you in the zones you need to dominate. Fast units like bikes and Su Jian, will also be instrumental for getting up the board in the fewest number of orders. Additionally, models with Baggage are fantastic for boosting the number of points that you have in a zone, don't just look at those 8 point baggage bots (worth 28 for dominating), but also consider your EVO (which will help Airborne Deployment), and even the Total Reaction bot, both of which will contribute points in the 40's to dominating.
